Select a topic to see a world map showing the origins of cables with this topic, as well as related news, images, blogposts and Wikipedia entries. You can use the selector in the control-bar above to select a different number of topics (it will take several seconds for the new topic data to load).

Use the 'traffic light' selector (red-amber-green top-right of page) to choose which cables you want to see (secret-confidential-unclassified). When none of these is selected, these instructions are shown. When a topic is selected, only documents with significant contributions from this topic are shown. Each document record gives a cable's ID and origin.

Use the 'show all ...' buttons in the control-bar to reset.

Hover over any document to see the topics that contribute to it; they are listed in descending order of significance in the topics column. The document's 'subject' appears as a 'tooltip'. Hovering also presents two options:

• Open the cable to see its text, with keywords for the selected topic highlighted;
• Find nearest neighbours to explore other documents containing similar topics.
